The WORST MLB Stat

Short MLB August 03, 2026 0:40 DantesData
Batting average might be the most misleading stat in baseball. A hitter can have a great average and still be in a terrible matchup today. You need to look deeper. How does he perform against that pitcher? How does he hit that handedness? How does he handle the pitch types he is likely to see? What does his recent form look like? One number never tells the entire story. The more matchup data pointing in the same direction, the stronger the research becomes. For all my in-season player prop and team research, I use DataStreak. The link is in my bio. #MLB #BaseballAnalytics #SportsResearch
