MLB Bullpen Fatigue
Team reliever workload scoring — overburdened bullpens are a known betting edge
Fatigue Score (0-100)
Measures recent reliever workload from last 7 days of appearances. Pitched yesterday? +40. Two days ago? +25. Older appearances decay. Uses estimated pitches (IP × 15).
Effectiveness (1-12)
Season-long skill rating based on ERA and WHIP. Lower ERA → higher score. WHIP modifies ±2 points. Score of 12 = elite closer, 1 = mop-up duty.
Adjusted Score
Effectiveness × fatigue modifier. Fresh relievers keep full value (1.0x). Tired arms halved (0.5x). Overused? Nearly zeroed (0.1x).
Team Score (0-12)
Blends reliever skill with fatigue: 60% from top-5 adjusted scores, 40% from overall bullpen ERA & WHIP quality. Higher = stronger available bullpen.
