Your pick did not get worse. The number did. You can find the right player and still lose part of your advantage by waiting too long. The public loves overs. As more people take the same one, the sportsbook may raise the number. Now you need the exact same player to produce even more just to win. For an under, that movement can sometimes work in your favor by giving you additional room. Finding the right player matters. Getting the right number matters just as much.
